Last week we killed Al'ar for the first time. The key for us, was to bring 5 tanks, 3 for Al'ar, and 2 for adds. We killed all of the adds that spawned in phase 1, as we found it dificult to keep the add tank alive with 10+ adds on him, and trying to AE them down at the beginning of phase 2 seemed really messy.

After that we poked at Kael'thas (the trash is hard, especially when we only have two mages that are actively raiding at the moment).
It's a gigantic chore to keep raiding during the summer months. I get the feeling that some of the people who are raiding, would rather just be outside enjoying the warm weather, instead. Everytime it seems like we're picking up some momentum with our raiding, we lose one or two people to the summer or the pre-WOTLK "I don't want to raid because all my gear will be replaced by level 75 greens" bug. It also doesn't help that the WOTLK beta started this week, either.
Right now, due to attrition, we have a whopping 1 resto druid, and no active mages. The attrition is making it difficult to post rosters ahead of time, or even get raids started promptly, because we have to wait to get that 1 last class we need, from guild friend list etc.
Between the time that I spend on recruitment, and raiding strategy updates etc, and starting my new job, I don't think I've gotten more than 5 hours of sleep per night for the last month. It's taking its toll on my mental/physical state. I've got a HUGE call center project due the 2nd week of August, along with my usual customer support requests. Plus I'm supposed to helping with some pdf creation as well. It's a big responsibility, considering I already have these other responsibilities for the guild. I know deep down that the work should come first. I would pass on my responsibilities to other people, but the officers in my guild have not been interested in playing much lately, and it doesn't seem like anyone else really has the desire/ability take on the burden.
Blah, I was making a pizza, and now it's a totally charred mess. I need a kitchen timer.
