I should be sleeping so I get a good night's rest before work. But I don't feel like sleeping right now. I'm still brimming with energy; or is it nervousness over having to learn a new routine again, memorizing a new commute, meeting new people, getting used to new voices, new smells, new sensations. Bleh.
I read that George Carlin died yesterday (June 22nd). http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20080623/us_ nm/carlin_dc
I feel sad about that. I thought he was funny in a gritty, cynical way. He wasn't being humorous for the glamour/glitz of it. He will be missed.
I've been thinking about moving to Los Angeles, possibly to pursue a deluded dream in acting. But I don't know if that's what I really want to do with the rest of my life.
My friend Mike asked me if I had an idea to start a new business. I told him that I didn't know what a good idea would be for a business. I did find an article on coming up with ideas for startups: http://www.paulgraham.com/ideas.htm l However, I don't think I personally would have the ambition/drive to come up with a business idea and actually go through all the effort of making it work.
I read today that System of a Down has been on hiatus since 2006. I wasn't particularly a fan of their music, but I remember that when I was attending Sacramento State that System of a Down, Korn, and Puddle of Mudd used to be on the local rock station, 24/7. :P
I saw that there's a San Francisco based comedy troupe: http://www.killingmylobster.com/compone nt/option,com_frontpage/Itemid,1/
I honestly didn't think San Francisco was a good place for comedy troupes. I figured that it would be easier to do comedy in Los Angeles and New York, just because there's more producers down there. But it's nice to see that people around here are pursuing their dreams in entertainment. :)
Anyways, I'm gonna pack my stuff into my bags, and try to get some rest. I gotta wake up in 5 hours you know. :P
