Summer raiding woes

Ahh summertime.. good for tans, bad for raiding.

I've been told that many guilds have problems filling raids during the summertime. I guess it's because of people going outside to enjoy the sunshine. It also doesn't help that Age of Conan was released a few weeks ago. Also, people are probably stopping raiding because they're afraid the gear they get now, will be outdated when the Wrath of the Lich King expansion is released. Of course, that expansion probably won't be out for another six months at least.

It's tough recruiting people who are skilled at raiding, and have the time available to actually raid. A hardcore raid guild (4 days per week, 4 hours per day, 100% attendance required, if you suck they tell you outright etc.) on our server, transferred off the server last week. Apparently they had developed a bad reputation and their progression stalled at 2/6 SSC so the GM decided to move to another server.

I cleaned up the apartment a bit today. Family's visiting on July 11th, so I gotta make the apartment somewhat presentable. I have so many Amazon.com boxes, but there's so little space in the recycle bin outside. :P
